Austin Allison: Modernizing and Simplifying Second Home Co-Ownership
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
On episode 8 of the Michael Valdes Global Podcast, I interview Ausin Allison, co-founder and CEO of Pacaso. Picasso modernized and simplified co-ownership of second homes, something which many people find so confusing that they wouldn’t even consider it in the first place.
In this interview, he explains what inspired him to found the company, and what problems he solved by doing so. He also shared the lessons he learned as he built the company from the ground up, and how it quickly became a “unicorn company.” The idea of starting a company at the beginning of the pandemic seems crazy, but it turned out to be a brilliant decision.
Watch this interview to learn who Austin drew inspiration from, and how you can take those same lessons.

Grant and Elena Cardone built an empire, primarily in real estate, but also in several other business ventures, including writing books and teaching personal development. When the economy collapsed in 2008, he had a revelation: Banks were too big to fail. He had been successful in real estate, and he made prudent investments, yet he was dragged down by the economy. What if he could be too big to fail?
From that moment on Grant and Elena committed themselves to being the king and queen, respectively, of an empire. Grant created the 10x movement, and grew his business until he had seven businesses making nearly $100 million in sales per year.
How did they do it?
By thinking big and acting big.

John DeMartini: From High School Dropout to Genius
Tuesday Aug 23, 2022
Tuesday Aug 23, 2022
John DeMartini, author of 40 books on personal development, was a success story no one expected. He literally did not know how to read well into his teenage years. He expected at the time that his career would go no further than working at a surf shop, but a chance encounter with alternative medicine pracitioner Paul C. Bragg led him to a breakthrough in his mindset. He had a vision of himself becoming a teacher one day, and he taught himself how to read and how to speak eloquently to achieve that goal.
Paul C. Bragg taught him an affirmation to say to himself every day: I am a genius when I apply my wisdom.” He used that wisdom to pass his G.E.D. exam. He used that wisdom to learn philosophy and reasoning skills. He used that wisdom to teach himself to speed read and how to absorb knowledge every day.
John DeMartini went from a “stupid” kid who couldn’t read to a “genius” in a few short years by having the breakthrough that his history is not his destiny. He was able to shape the life he wanted and live is by having a breakthrough in his mindset.
